Series of free concerts 1, 2 and 3 August in Langeais, Bourgueil and Chinon'Prayer' of musical ensemble WHO LIVE Classical concert enthusiasts in Touraine are welcome to the concerts of the classic Qui Vive musical ensemble at the beginning of August. As in 2017 and 2018, the ensemble gives three free concerts in the region. The title of the series of three summer concerts 2019 is 'PRAYER'. The concerts will be held on Thursday, August 1 at 6 pm at St. Baptiste Church, Langeais, St. Germain Church, Friday, August 2 at 6 pm and St. Maurice Church in Chinon Saturday, August 3 at 6 pm. Qui Vive is a Dutch musical ensemble of about 50 musicians and singers, amateurs and professionals, who gather in France every summer to make music together, changing their place every three years. In the first summer of their stay in Touraine, in July 2017, the ensemble celebrated its 20th anniversary with 3 classic concerts under the title 'Fratres' in Chinon, Candes-St-Martin and L'Île Bouchard, followed by the 'Fast' theme. and Splendor of the year 2018 with concerts in Savigny-en-Véron, Chinon and Tours. This summer the program includes songs for choir and orchestra individually and together. The 2019 title'PRIÈRE' refers to the capella piece by the composer and professor Ton de Leeuw (born in Rotterdam in 1956 and died in Paris in 1996). The overall musical direction is in the hands of Mr. Ad van Unen. He is assisted by Mr. Joost van Velzen (choir director) and Mr. Jurriaan Klapwijk (conducting director). Prayer program.
